Alexis K Creates is an accomplished artist celebrated for her intricate scratchboard art, expressive ink and pencil portraits, and dynamic digital illustrations. Her work draws inspiration from her deep connection to yoga, meditation, animals, nature, Studio Ghibli films, and Marvel comics. Alexis’s creative journey with scratchboard began in 2014 during her studies at Kutztown University, where her first piece—a dark horse—remains a cherished milestone in her artistic career. After a few years of soul-searching, she reignited her passion for art in 2020 when given the gift of time during the pandemic.
A 2017 BFA graduate in Illustration and Advertising Design from Kutztown University, Alexis also studied fine art at The Baum School of Art and Harrisburg Area Community College. Her work has been showcased in exhibitions across York, Mechanicsburg, and Philadelphia. She has created book covers, spot illustrations, custom paintings, and a large-scale mural for Bonbon Café in Mechanicsburg, showcasing her versatility and ability to bring creative visions to life.
During the day, Alexis works for a publishing company in marketing, where she applies her technical and design expertise to branding and communication.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Alexis is a certified 200-hour yoga instructor with over seven years of teaching experience in Central Pennsylvania. She credits yoga and meditation as vital influences in her art, fostering a sense of mindfulness and balance that permeates her creative process.
